Mamady Keita - Toronto

It's my pleasure to be organizing drum workshops for Mamady Keita June 6-10th - first time here in Toronto! It's my wish to let you all know so those interested, and near Toronto, can take advantage of this opportunity. Mamady Keita played with the National Ballet for 20 years, won many gold metals in International and Pan-African Festival, and was also named Best African Drummer. Mamady has produced 9 CDs, numerous instructional videos/dvds, a book 'Mamady Keita: A Life for the Djembe', several documentary films, as well as established percussion schools in 18 different countries. Personally I've taken many workshops with Mamady and spent time with him in Africa. He's a joy to learn from and I left each session feeling inspired and motivated. I encourage you to check him out!
