David "Daouda" Grey Hawk has performed and taught West African
percussion throughout the nation for the last 12 years. Currently, he resides in Sand Diego, CA and apprentices with Initiated Master
Djembefola Mamady Keita; he also teaches and serves on the Board of
Trustees for Tam Tam Mandingue USA, and Tam Tam Mandingue Intl.
In 2006 he traveled to Guinee, Africa for a month of intensive drum training. He has toured, recorded, and performed with Mamady Keita, Moments of Clarity, Tam Tam Mandingue USA, Sankofa, Khalid Abdul, N'Faly Saleem, Hakili, Drum Cafe, and many others.
