Who can tell me something about the ethnic groups, especially in Mali.
I have heard of Kassounké and Soniké, are these groups the same or different? I have also heard of the Bambara. Which popular rhythms belong to which ethnic group?

Wow, djembe04, you are actually asking for information you'll get when you look around this forum. Lots of ethnic groups and rhythms are mentioned in all the different threads. I can tell you that Khassonké and Soninké are not the same..... For the rest spend a day or three looking around, you'll find lots of things. For information about rhythms and their ethnic origin there is also good info on www.paulnas.eu also known as the 'wap-pages'.
