that "degree of specialization" (nice term) is hard to get: I live in Germany, the workshop is in Switzerland (even if quite near, just 70 km), the dancer is from Poland.
In fact there are just three professional dancers (and all females, I can't put my own beginner dance/basic fête atmosphere workshops in this line) who have travelled to Hamana several times (or: that I know about*). That's Mandy Pfennig in Berlin, Aneta Szlacheta in Wroclaw and Norma Schulz in Australia (sorry, I don't remember the region or city). Lukas Zimmerli, the workshop organizer who will be on sangban, has met Aneta in Babila... That's how things take a start. My dundunba player lives 500 km away... I initially met him in Conakry in 2001 and in Baro in 2007.
But these distances might sound ridiculous for you in the states.
Finally, it's great, if things like this workshop really happen. I'll try to organize a second workshop in Freiburg with the same people the day before Friday. We would do Bundyani again, just as last year in Basel. I'll let you know.

Would be great to meet someone from the forum here (I know there're people from Berlin reading here...
