According to Alan Tauber's Web site, the Mamady Keita Boston Workshop scheduled for June 3-6, 2010 is canceled, apparently due to health issues.

From the page:
"Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, Mamady Keita BOSTON 2010 is cancelled for this year. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As soon as we reschedule him, we will announce it to all of you.

Obviously, everyone will be getting full refunds.

We send our best to Mamady and hope to be with him again soon.

instead he suggests something that otherwise may or may not be true...only causing speculation.

Re-reading the post, it looks like the "health issues" part was added by the OP and not posted on Alan Tauber's site. I agree that it would be best to leave out speculation about a person's health, especially in a public forum. In any case, glad to hear everything's a-ok.

imo, it's pretty unprofessional. There are always going to be schedule changes for anyone that tours, whether to perform or give workshops. But it's not usual to give specific reasons for changes/cancellations in an ad of any kind.
