Cheers Michel

That is the stuff. I really like the singing. Really nice music. Great to see more projects with Ibrahima Sarr and co.

Indeed. I like a lot of music coming from Mali, but once in a while there's something that really knocks me of my feet. Sidiki Camara did it with 'Ayou Wele', Sarr did it already a few times with his cd's, and discovering a project like this makes my day (and the following weeks) Can't wait for the European tour in the next summer!

Nice clip of BKO Quintet featuring Ibrahima Sarr. Crazy solo towards the end. This band is awesome.

First of all: Ibrahima Sarr is a great drummer. I'm a fan of his technique and style and besides that he's a nice guy. But it seems like he always plays the same solo! I watched many BKO quintet movies, but every time it's the same. But a great one.

I'm afraid they won't be looking for us in the northern part of Europe. They reached the south of Belgium on their summer tour that took place may-july, more to the north they didn't come. Hopefully next season. They are on facebook.

Cheers Michel, you ruined it for me. lol

Yea, during the solo I felt I recognize this from hearing Sarr play years ago. It sounds similar to other solos but then I'm thinking, nah this one is different. His sound is so distinctive and fast that maybe you feel it is the same as other BKO tunes. I checked around and couldn't find any clip to prove your point though.

Don't get me wrong guys, I love this. We have to get them over here next year. But you can't deny that Sarr has a very recognizable style of soloing. Which I like! But when you look at his soloing you'll find the same phrases quite often. And I listen a lot to his music.

Can't wait for a whole CD.
