So your idea is to take the slack out of the rope after you have pulled them at one point away from ends of rope. Handy enough.

It makes sense when you know the answer usually and thats a really good idea.

Sometimes when taking out slack and leveling the rings you want to balance a few points at a time and vice grips are awkward at this stage. The flatness of the wrench is ideal for this job.

If you had more loops on the spanner it might have been more possible to guess the use.

Yea my spanner in the works wasn't a good idea, but my spanner for cesse cesse was not too bad, so i though. I'd bet no one could produce an older looking skin though that works.
