That's not the largest I've seen, but close. I suspect that this size is pretty much at the limit of what you can do and still get acceptable sound.

Sound is interesting. Quite ring, probably because it's not possible to tighten the drum to the point where the ringing goes away without either breaking the skin or choking off the bass.

I'd hate to know what the weight of that drum is…

My friend has pretty big baragnoma djembe. Maybe not as large as the one in the video. They're really well carved drums are are very cheap for the quality and size. The inner bowl is real tidy.

His one sounded really nice too. Only drawback for me is the thickness of the bowl. It's not very thick compared to the size of the drum. It's solid and sturdy and won't warp as the wood seems well seasoned but i'd think the sound would be warmer with thicker walls. The weight of the drum i seen was about 7-8 kilo so pretty light for it's size which can be an advantage for some.
