mamady keita plays abondan

one of the rhythms that mamady brought back from his ballet koteba days during the 70s/80s. sitting next to him is mahiri. this footage is from his workshop last year in guadalajara. the quality isn't great. you could try the hd version.

he was in Koteba in '86-'87, not the 70s at all.
should i shave my moustache?

yea i couldn't remember if it was 70s or 80s, was gonna check, then decided sleep was a better option. i figured some djembe nerd would correct me

Cool, that second vid is one of my favourite malady clips. Abondon is a fantastic rhythm
