Madu Keita and Adama Keita jamming in Ghana

Postby michi » Thu Mar 25, 2010 1:21 am

I recorded this in February 2008 in Nungua, Ghana. Madu Keita on djembe and Adama Keita on Balafon. They are guest teachers every year at Tuza's Ekome Tour. Madu and Adama are wonderful musicians and great teachers. I studied with them for a week and learned heaps, besides having a really good time :)

Cheers,

Michi.

nice to know there are some burkinabe teachers on the course. it's a good option for those who want their first time in africa to be hassle free and without the need to learn some french.

Ghana is the ideal country for people who want a taste of West Africa without going too hard-core... It's a peaceful country, safe, democratic, and, overall, the people are very friendly.

Madu and Adama speak a little English only, but it's plenty enough for great lessons :)

Cheers,

Michi.
