Katouba - Malinke-Gnawa Fusion

I came across this cool looking band. They're called Katouba. The main guy is called Jalil Toukja. He's from Meknes in Morocco and was originally a Gimbri player, the bass like ngoni instrument used in Gnawa music. He studied with Mamady for 16 years apparently and holds a TTM Diploma. They seem to be pretty rockin'!
