Anyone interested in some audio recordings of a workshop with Master Ibrahima Sarr i recorded last August?

He Shows us Parts of Dansa and Wassolonka or Ngrin...

And if yes where i should be putting that? I am quite new on this forum.

thanks very much for offering your recordings!

when you post a new topic in the media section, you can attach some files to the post. if the recordings are in wav format, you will want to convcert them to mp3 first so that the files are not too large.

Hey! I lived with Ibrahima 4 months in 1992. When he came to USA with Oumou Sangare to play at SOB's (sadly, without Gaussou), I took the band to the Museum of Natural History and the Central Park Zoo. Also to Radio Shack, because they wanted to buy a large satellite dish. This was an historic event, wherein the djembe and retail worlds collide; Ibrahima is well known for his technique on djembe, but his negotiating skills remain utterly unsung, and positively sublime. The manager of the store never knew what hit him. THIS visit should have been the subject of a documentary.

That's Gausu. He was known as the loudest hand in Bamako. And Fassara was awesome. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I miss him.
