Looks like you've reached the end of the row, but it's a little difficult to tell from the picture. I would say start a new row in the same direction.

what he said. also, make sure when you pull knots to pull them down towards the bottom of the drum. you want to make your knot as low as you can towards the base of the bowl. it looks aesthetically better, but also allows for more rows of knots if you have to keep on tuning up.

that rope looks pretty haggard. you should take a butane torch and run it over the rope to help cotorize some of the frays.

Thanks Guys,

I didnt phrase my Q well.

I have reached the end yes but what I need to understand is how to lock the last row and begin another in the same way as the first row has been finished.

Can anyone follow what the builder has done ?

I have tucked the end of the row under the horizontal of the first row to begin but it looks wrong to me.

Thanks again.

Ron.

i understand now.

for me, i don't lock a row of diamonds. I typically just continue on with the next row with the mali weave.

some people, however, lock off a row similar to what you're attempting to do. you have the right idea. I would take your tail and put it under the first diamond, first row and under your next to verts to pulled for a knot.

It's kinda hard for me to follow what the rope though.
