Finally a simple solution to a ringy djembe...

Postby jeffduyndam » Tue Jun 01, 2010 5:48 am

Crumple up one sheet of newspaper and shove it up into the inside of the bowl. Walah!

It even makes my already sweet djembe sound better.

Doug Brush recently move here and he says that some of the djembe players in Chicago do that when they record in a studio.

It might sound silly, but it really works...

THIS THING WORKS !!!!!!

I put a crumpled sheet of newspaper and it was amizingly dry. Then I put only half and the sound was good with enough overtones to my taste.

Thanks for the idea, I will just put it with a cello tape so that it does not come out :-)

Google lists this site as being potentially harmful, due to malware or other nasties. It might wise not to follow the link or, if you do, do it in a quarantined virtual machine that you can destroy later.

I saw this too late, already did and got the laptop infected with something "senefula 2 activity detected" warning on the symantic. My computer guy said its Ok, symantic captured it.

Oh no! I have deleted the link from my post and apologize to all. I didn't get the warning from AVG.

Sorry!
