I learned this great exercise from Jojo Mayer. Place your forearms together. Palms facing each other(just like the praying hands position). Now clap from the wrist for two minutes as fast as you can. The goal is to build fast twitch muscles for speed. To keep this up for longer periods of time you must relax... Relaxing to play faster... what a concept. After doing it for two weeks, once a day, I noticed an improvement in my speed. It does look madd dorky

but it works... use it for warming up...
