Set of four made for a Master Drummer from Burkina Faso.
I tried to make the palm of the hand in the shape of Africa, and tried to highlight his home country, Burkina Faso.

Michi - I see from reading through this whole thread that you have made custom sege. What gage of stainless sheet are you using ? Also - What gage of wire jump ring and diameter of ring do you typically use ?
I can get 24 or 26 gage sheet and jump rings appear to be 3/4" in diameter .08 thick wire.

Best

The sheet is 0.5 mm.

I've been using 14 gauge rings, 12 mm internal (16 mm external) diameter.

Cheers,

Michi.

Hey, these look great! I like the blue spring steel in particular. What's it like on the other side? Same surface texture?

Cheers,

Michi.

Yes, same surface texture, Blue Steel, but it was very difficult to work with, had to use a carbide drill to put in the holes and they do not bend at all.

I imagine it would be hard as sin…

How did you make the cutouts? Laser?

Cheers,

Michi.
