my drumming slowed over the winter due to my hibernation. :bearhug: but with spring right around the corner, i'm slowly starting to get back into more regular playing.

Bolokada skinned up my hare shell as a surprise gift last summer and i'm just now finally warming up to playing it. i tuned it up last week so he could play it during the workshops this past sunday. now that he's put his beautiful energy into it, i think it's shred ready now.

Nice bro! shred away!

I'm skinning up my #1 mali drum tonight with a cow skin I picked up over in Mali. I've got a recording date coming up in less than a month and the previous skin was getting on 6 months old and starting to lose its mojo. I know some people don't like the idea, but I gently removed the skin. I may put it on a different drum to let it live out its golden years.
