New Drum Building Blog

Postby Rhythm House Drums » Tue Jun 14, 2011 3:49 am

Hi guys, Hope this doesn't count as advertising spam... I think most of the regulars on this forum know me as someone who builds custom drums... anyhow, I've been toying with the idea of having a drum building blog for quite some time. More so I think to keep a record of what I'm doing and to let others see into my process, and to point aspiring drum builders in a direction of good morale and high craftsmanship.

If you have a minute to check it out, I'd love some feedback and ideas on where I can take the site to benefit everyone. Comments on the blog are more than welcome! Like I said, it's new, it's a reflection of my work, and a record for myself. No doubt will change the more feedback I get and the more it evolves, but I have a good start and record of something I'm passionate about... Hopefully other drum builders will find it useful. I do plan on having a rhythms section, building section, artist section... got lots of ideas... :) I also am recording my custom builds so the customers can keep up with where I'm at on their project.

Thanks for looking!

nahh

i hope you'll continue to offer your excellent contributions on the forum as well as on the blog.

it looks very good, so not much feedback in these early days. no doubt you are aware the most in-demand info is on stuff most people can do themselves - reheading, refinishing & decorating, sege sege, straps, 3-ring system...
