Learning West African languages

Postby bubudi » Mon Dec 13, 2010 6:08 am

hey folks!

with all the enthusiasm here for learning rhythms and songs, i'm sure many here would be interested in learning a west african language.

did you know we have several threads for this?

susu language thread
krio language thread (krio spoken in sierra leone, similar languages spoken in gambia, liberia and nigeria)
general thread about west african languages, also contains some malinke discussion

krio is a really easy language to learn, is fun to speak, and you will learn many words along the way that come from malinke, susu, etc.., so why not introduce yourself on the krio language thread? i will help anyone get on their feet and you will be talking like a sierra leonian in no time!
