Anyone heard of King Sundiata Keita the master djembe player?

Apparently he played with Bob Marley :rasta:

No, can't say I've heard of him (or not for the last 800 years or so…)

Where was this footage taken? My guess is maybe Ghana? I don't think the Mandingue people practice libation?

My guess is Jamaica, but i couldn't bear to watch more that 45 seconds....

Yes I knew him very well. He was from Detroit and performed around the country with many African dance companies as well as with Carlos Santana. I perform with Muntu Dance Theater of Chicago and he performed with us on occasion. He passed away maybe 5 or 7 years ago and he has an adult son that is an accomplished djembe player as well.
