Im in guinee right now....

Hi to everybody.... im in guinee with my wife.. it been a month now!
I wanted to know if anybody can help with any contacts you have (only good and trust people) here in guinee.
Also im planing to buy some drums, and i would like to know if anybody has a trustfull and good carver to go! i remember to have read Dugafola saying something of his carver here..

Any phone, adrees, contact, we would we very thanksfull!!!!

Where about in Guinea are you? If you have the time, could you post a short update on the situation there? There has been almost no news out of Guinea for the past few days, as far as I can find. Has the election been finalized yet? What's happening with the state of emergency. Is that still ongoing?

Let me tell you about the situation... now everythig is calm, the state emergency is going on but calm... a few days ago, this was insane, shotguns everywere, becuase de Peuls were very angry with the result of the elections, the Malinke man has won, alpha conde.... Now i think the 2 of december the supreme corte, seems to give the power to this man.... all people thinks he is going to make the things right!

Well man, thanks a lot, are you coming to guinee? im staying in kipe in a nice house of a Sudanist man, he is great man....

I was planning to be in Guinea in January to attend Mamady's camp, but had pretty much decided against going even before Mamady cancelled the camp. The situation is just too unstable there for my taste. I don't think there would be any real danger to me personally, but I don't want to get stuck there if the borders and airports close without warning (as happened to friends of mine three years ago when the riots broke out). Australia has no consular representation in Guinea, so if things go wrong, you are pretty much on your own...

I hope that the situation remains stable over there and that you have a good time. And look out for yourself! Say hello to Sana for me if you meet him!
