Djembefola.com T-Shirts

Postby James » Mon Oct 11, 2010 12:27 pm

So I've decided to put together some djembefola.com tshirts.

I am currently running a design contest on 99 designs.com. I'd appreaciate any and all feedback as doing so will give the designers the best chance of creating and awesome design.

Give your feedback

Hi, I really liked the first design with the big pattern. It was kind of retro. Does it have the same pattern all around (in the back)? I hope you will make a femal-shaped t-shirt when you decide which design to use.

I like both James, IMO the djembefola position must be more energic.

the 1st i fell more female, don't ask me why :P

i like them both a lot, especially the background design, but i think the silhouette image of the djembefola could be improved. the figure should be more energetic looking, in my opinion. have a look at the one on bangourake's 'djembe kan' cd. it's definitely not my favourite drawing of a djembefola, but it does have energy... i see guedom is basically saying the same thing, about the 'classic' djembefola position. i understand that's harder to do in silhouette, but they got around that on the 'djembe kan' cd by giving the djembe more definition.

one more thing, #2 is a bit more 'out there' for a lot of guys to wear (although not really feminine). if you want to implement hilde's suggestion, i'd say go with #1 in a mens shape, and #2 in a woman's. but maybe get some more feedback from the ladies first...

I still like the 2nd one with a changed djembefola. The djembefola.com should be a little smaller but not too smaller to not be readable.

The other new ones are a little towards the ladies side, the caricature actually looks a female.

You can rate and comment there without logging in or anything... otherwise you can leave feedback here...

I think these are still early days and the standards already noticably better. I'm passing on lots of feedback and trying to explain what the music the culture etc at the same time...

Anyway, any feedback, here or there appreaciated. There's probably easiest. And yes there will be mens and ladies.
