Now that's a match made in heaven: the world's greatest djembe bags protecting the world's greatest djembes. ;)

Including our bags, which we discontinued last year. Last month we received a new bag design from a professional designer, and are currently seeking a manufacturer. Once we begin production I will announce it on Djembefola.

I saw a bag from Guniea, where they had a thin sheet of plastic (1/8") along with the foam all aorund the bag, its a good way to protect from pucture or sharp impact objects, and it alos gave a good shape to the bag.

I feel the same way. On occasion, I've played the drums of friends or a teacher. Usually great sounding drums. But, with some of them, I just couldn't warm to the feel of the drum. Sounded great, but didn't really make me feel comfortable. There are a lot of subtle things going on regarding the texture of the skin, the bearing edge, the weight, and the balance that can make me feel indifferent to a good-sounding drum.

A good return policy if you buy a drum from a catalog is essential; otherwise, you can get stuck with a good-sounding drum that you simply don't like.

Cheers,

Michi.
