Looks like a decent starter drum. $200 isn't a bad deal. Pictures don't always tell the whole story, so I would recommend giving it a thorough inspection before you plunk down your cash. If you need some guidance, check out my article on purchasing a jembe:

That one is almost certainly from Ghana and most likely made from Tweneboa wood. You can read about djembe woods here. Unfortunately, Tweneboa doesn't sound very good. It's a cheap drum and OK as a starter drum, but it will sound cheap too. If you buy it and keep on playing, you will likely want to upgrade after a year or so.

Cheers,

Michi.

I believe I've seen better unused djembes, made out of better wood, on some u.s. sites for the same price. Maybe you should look better. Just saying

If you are just gonna do drum circles or want a light weight drum, it may be ok for a beginner drum.
I don't think I would pay 200 for it, maybe 160.
There is a Ivory coast drum on the Craiglist for 270, If it is in good shape maybe 225-240 would be a better price for it. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rch/msg/2368296743.html
There doesn't seem to be many used djembes in B.C now. If you order a drum from the U.S., the shipping will be alot, My drum cost $80. to ship to Ontario.
I started with a African Tycoon drum from Axe Music in Alberta. It was a good starter drum for me and it was shipped free. My wife is happy with hers still. http://www.axemusic.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=52&P_ID=9871&PT_ID=95
A place in Canada that has some good drums is http://www.djembe.ca/en/drums/
