Mother Africa

The Mother Africa Show is in Australia at Jupiter's Casino this month. Has anyone seen this show? Is it worth it? From the trailers, it looks like it's quite a spectacle.

interesting that it will not be touring in any of the major australian cities. the production trailer kind of reminds me of 'african footprint' when they were here in 2003. it will definitely be a great night of entertainment, but it makes a bit of a hodge podge of various african cultures which is not great from a trad/historical point of view. but that's what the modern circuses are doing now. afrika-afrika! is another one (also from germany) who does that kind of thing.

Saw the show last night. That was a lot of fun, really enjoyed myself. It's a circus show, much like Cirque du Soleil. You get juggling, contortionists, acrobatics, dance, clowning, and more. The highlights for me were the best contortionist I've ever seen, an absolutely awesome diabolo juggler, and a guy who did an unbelievably skilled balancing act.

If the show gets to a venue near you, this is definitely worth seeing.

Cheers,

Michi.
