What is that "thing" that most drummers uses in Guinee...

Postby fa_ramiro » Sun Sep 11, 2011 9:35 pm

Hello to everybody!!!!, since i was back from Guinee this year, i was wondering all the time.... what is the "metal thing or part" that most dununfolas or sangbafolas, use to hit the bell.?????

Its like a nut, but with no thread, and in the inside is smooth, but from the outside has a small curve. And it has the perfect size and weight.
I think maybe is a part from motor car or something like that...

If anybody, can help me, i want to find some of those here in my country.

I was given some of them during my trip, but i ended up giving those to other drummers.

Thanks.
Ramiro.

They are outer bearing races from something like a CV joint or transaxle.

3/4" are the ones that i like. some like 1" diameter...

find a mechanic that'll let you take the scrap CV joints. i have a guy near my office that lets me take as many axles as i want. I take the race off with a screwdriver and junk the rest.
should i shave my moustache?
