Tuatha Dea

Postby mountainguitars » Wed Feb 23, 2011 2:08 am

I've been checking around this forum for a bit, and it seemed like this would be a great place to suggest music to people with common tastes. That being said, has anyone ever heard of Tuatha Dea? They're a celtic tribal band based out of Galinburg, TN, USA. It's a random mix of styles from celtic to primitive to acoustic to rock. They've got traditional instruments like guitar, bass and flute, but their rhythm section is composed almost entirely of African drums like the djembe, djuns, etc. Great stuff. Check them out on Facebook and http://www.tuathadea.com.

Thanks for the link. Like the groove. Not so sure about the vocals.

A lot of the recorded music doesn't quite capture the essence, in my opinion. I think what really does it is the facilitations that they do.
