My favorite disc for songs is probably Billy Konate's disc, Siyara Manden Mansa, although I think all of Billy's CDs have lots of beautiful singing. The singing on Fakoli gives me goosebumps every time.

Maybe ever so slightly, but that's actually one of the things I like about it. I find with a lot of discs I'd like to be able to hear the singing better, and I find myself straining to make out words and pronunciation.

YEA...it's definitely out front. just wished they would have blended it a bit more. it's mostly Fanta's singing...her voice is very powerful and guttural sounding.

but it's billy's best sounding disc by far.
