I love how everything here is taken apart and put back together! :)

I believe it was Mamady who coined the phrase. I have never personally heard Mamady call the ternary ta-tu-ta "passport", nor any other phrase has he called "passport", only the 4/4; ta--ta,ta-tu,tu.
However that has not stopped us locally from referring to other to common patterns by similar names;
passport 2, passport swing, ride passport, etc ;-)
