Djembe Strap????

i wouldn't worry about a strap at this early stage of your playing. you don't need a strap for seated playing, it's just for performance, so you can stand and move with it.

Well, if that's the case, I'll probably NEVER need one!

So, which part of the djembe do you hook the strap to?

I just take the piece of rope (that Djembe-Nerd mentioned) and tie it around two pairs of verticals. Playing while standing (or walking) is a whole different beast. Unfortunately, I found this out during my first time playing in a parade.
