djembe cover

Postby glenb » Wed Nov 09, 2011 4:05 pm

Hello,
Some years ago I followed lessons for djembe.
Now I need to do something with music for school (I'm 15).
I can't sing or dance and the only instrument I can think of is my djembe.
But I've just done djembe for one year and I'm searching for a song (I prefer pop) where I can do a cover of and that's not so hard to learn.
Does someone have any ideas?
If it is possible, can it be a song from the past years? Then my classmates will know it!
All ideas are welcome!

I really need your help!

Thanks for reading and eventually answering this!

Have a listen to "Èierann", from the album "Release" by Afro Celt System (available as a separate song on iTunes). Not too fast, cool groove and melody, and two district melodic themes that you can play different accompaniments to. Take a simple shaker and use it during the intro section and at the end, and you'll have something that sounds really nice.

Good luck!

Michi.
