Contacts in Guinee

Postby james_tanante » Sun May 20, 2007 2:58 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a trip to Africa in the Winter and was wondering if anyone had any good contacts with teachers over there?

I'd be especially interested in contacts in or connected with the Hamana region.

Nice one

James

I have a good contact there. He's from Sanankoro in Hamana. I met him in Conakry at Famoudou's and 2 friends went to his village with him for a few weeks and they were very happy. I'll try find his email address and get back to you...

Hi. I you ever go to Hamana, I reccomend you to visit Koumana village it's about 20 km from Kouroussa. Ask for Noundiarra Kourouma. He is a blacksmith in Komana. Everybody knows him, because he organises drum festivites there. He is really the traditionall drummer, in the sense, that he is blacksmith and drummer because of his heritage. He is also a friend of Famoudou Konate, who speak very good things about him.
Good luck !
