Wulabakan

Postby Dugafola » Mon Oct 11, 2010 6:32 pm

recorded in 1998 in Guinea West Africa and features ibro konate, nansady keita, and bolokada conde on djembe.

Bolo told me it's mostly ibro soloing with nansady and Bolo only cuts on the entire kala and takes a solo on the dibon. he said that this was his first CD recording and occured right when he moved to conakry from the village.

i've only heard parts of this disc but the stuff i've heard rages pretty hard...raw, crushing malinke style djembe and dunun.

nice vox on all tracks except of the flute kan.

track list:
dendon
mawe (sorobafoly)
kenefoli
manya(kala)
fulekan (flute kan)
dibon
dendinye (soli)
lubama (dja)
subaya(kawa)
