Sorry, I don't get the joke. The ad doesn't mention his signature. So, what's funny, other than the inflated price?

BTW, I expect there will be plenty of signed copies of the book around. Mamady is always willing to sign CDs, DVDs, djembes, t-shirts, books, and anything else that's signable

I may have misread:

Price is huge, plus no cd and the only difference I can see is a signature.

I don't doubt that there are many signed versions of all different things.

I am laughing because it seems like the signature is the cause of the price.

I don't get autographs too much.

To me it says, it's saying the person who this is about touched it.
