There is a "Password forgotten?" link on the main page. That might help.

Captcha might be case-sensitive, so watch our for that. You may also need to enable cookies in your browser for the site to work.

If none of these help, I'd send email and ask for help.

Cheers,

Michi.

The quality of the DVD is not professional. The sound is not so good. Actually it´s a homemade video burnt on a DVD, not proffesional fabricpressed (The copy I recived was on a homeburnt sony DVD with the cover printed on a homeprinter quality) But for real Famoudou fans there is nice to seem him alive. Because you are never aloud to do the videorecording of him as long his wife Uschi is around.
I was false accused of filming from Usch once and after Ii was not welcome to Famoudous i workshop anymore. From the beginning I was already confirmed for the workshop. So I already have bought the flighticket from Sweden to Germany etc so I was relly confused of Uschis non professional behaviors ....-(
Nevermind Famoudou is a great teacher and person who reallty teach from his heart. Besid to that he is the living legend and THE djembefola!!!

i've watched it 3 times now. here are my brief thoughts

✔ good content of the kids and konate ensemble.
✔ no region encoding
✘ title is misleading - suggests that there are going to be a range of rhythms shown with their songs and dances, which is not the case.
✘ home quality video.
✘ dvd label handwritten, covers printed in low quality.

overall, it's ok for what it is even though the title and non-professional production and presentation were disappointing. if you want some footage of a celebration in conakry this will do nicely.

I've watched mine once. It's fine. Not great, not bad.

Fun watching Famoudou though, so I don't regret having bought it.

✘ dvd label handwritten, covers printed in low quality.

Mine was just a blank DVD, no handwriting, nothing. First thing I did was to print a label on the thing :)

Cheers,

Michi.

So is this done with his permission... Sounds a bit strange he would let something like that go..

Yes, definitely. TARIKUmusique is Uschi Dittmar's website, and she is Famoudou's wife :)

It's not that bad. Besides, the thing that matters to me is the music, and I can enjoy the dance even if it's not high-definition video. Here is an excerpt:

Yes bubudi, I bought with paypal at the end, don't know why but my account in tariku wasn't running, I bought here hamana namun when was released, so i did one account again with same email.

Like i said is a homemade (no problem) but all parts are splited. I prefer 2 rhythms full and some photo slideshow of the performance.

Anyway with the money of this footage help to the childrens of the 1st video part ;)
