indeed.

it would have been nice to hear him work through all the sang/dun/jembe solos as they are intended to go together... but still good stuff.

thanks so much for that, michi! that is a sweet song, i will add that to the malian one that i put the lyrics up for. there's also a very nice song that bolokada does for mendiani.

i agree about the sweetness of the sparing notes that famoudou uses but until 6:30 it's hardly an improvisation - more of an accenting of notes in between the phrasing of the song. definitely an artform in itself.
