Probably essential to know more about the blacksmiths in order to understand the instruments and culture and rhythms they created

LOVED THIS BOOK!

While there was little direct discussion of the djembe, I really appreciated the insight into the cast system as well as some of the "technology" of the region.

I borrowed this from the Library at the University of New Hampshire. I would definitely purchase it if I came across it (and if I had the money!)

Hmm... $22 on Amazon.com... I think I need just one more gig this month to get some "extra" cash....
