hailing from sierra leone ansumana bangura was the percussionist for miriam makeba and toured with her band to hanover, but got stranded there and ended up making germany his home!

on his one and only album, fankadama (meaning "mix everything"), he combines various beats from his native sierra leone, with a hint of jazz, pop and palm wine.
