Yeah, doing ok but bloody busy. I just got three skins off Hector's cattle to make a big oildrum drum with for the gathering. Just started the first skin, took four hours alone just to cut the hair off and the fat and gristle on the other side that i've got to get off isn't easy. I'm about 1/3 the way through and totally had enough for the day so going to chill out for a while and go off down pub later with Ant, Lin and Hec.

Other than that it's all getting into a bit of a panic round here as we're opening to the public in 4 weeks and nothing looks like it's gonna be ready, but then it's always chaos at Tapeley. LOL

Look forward to catching up with ya at The Gathering.

Nah, no interest. Rich Bridge's brother, Jonny, comes around for a drum session every other week but other than that nothing going on at the moment.

But i realised the other day that the website wasn't coming up on the search engines so i'm in the process of moving it to a new hosting company so hopefully that might fix the issue and get some more notice.

- --will keep an eye out for that. Now the better weather is coming you might get some interest, it's still over an hour from here. I connected with a girl that does drumming workshops local and talked to her about setting up a circle but the feedback was about as slack as my Djembe skin in the middle of winter!!! - -good luck with the big drum- -lol

Thanks- --I guess I should say a bit more about me:- I live in the South West of the Uk and although I Live in Cornwall, Exeter in Devon is the nearest city. I play didge, guitar, flute and many other things besides drum. I just love playing something!

I got into drum at a didge night, borrowed a drum, had a go and someone said I should get my own drum and take it up so I did!

I don't play to any rules or traditions, I just listen and sit in with as many other drummers as possible. I like all styles and also like all types of hand drum, percussion etc. I find some traditional styles a bit difficult due to a weakness in my left hand from an accident, so I kind of find my own thing. I have never been asked to leave a jam yet!!!

I love anything that comes straight from the soul, is devoid of ego and honest. The cross cultural thing that is going on now within music and all things is just what we all need, when you listen to some of the tribal stuff, we 'aint that far apart, we just got a little lost! The blending of tradition and what's happening now will be the making of us all and hopefully bring all peoples together, brothers and sisters, just like it is meant to be.

Sit in on any good drum jam and tell me it doesn't affect you deep down inside!!!!

I bless the day I bought my first drum, got a long way to go yet - -but hey it's a journey I don't want to end - --so respect to all you drumming guys out there and most of all- - -Play the drum, have fun- - -Lv Steve
