Hi from Spain =)

hi all

I'm guedom, come from Granada, in the south of Spain.
My nick in an onomatopoeia of dunun beats, gue is the bell stroke and dom is the open stroke on the skin

I discover the dunun in a Cécé Koly's workshop, in his babaniko school, i had listened some cds (normally djembes are edited more up, also my speaker wasn't good) but was there when i knew the power, the reality of the dununs in the ensemble, never played, never listened, and i fell in love

Currently i learn with a petit of Mouctar Touré from Les Ballets Africains, you can listen him in myspace.com with his old group.

I like share and i'm happy being here.. in this community i'm discovering many interesting things around mande culture, i'm grateful with the people who share his knowledge, music, videos, photos and time.

Great name...I'm glad you introduced yourself cause I'd never have got that from your name otherwise

Granada is one of my favourite cities! If I get there soon, I'll definitely let you know I'm coming...

I did a bit of travel in Spain last summer, Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastian... and loved it... Saw couple of djembe bands around as we were in Bilbao for Fiesta.

I love spain in general and would love to move there...
