A bit about me

I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada. My background is German. I was introduced to the Djembe last Summer by a friend of mine. What a different world!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I love it.! Finally I can express my feelings through the drum.
I started to take lesson last October(Guinea Rhythms). I love it, but it is a long long process for me to feel the beat!!!!!!!!! Will I ever learn?????????? I am a totally visual learner but are working now at putting all my note's away and actually feel the sound of the drum. Any advise? Jutta

You gotta a heart? it beats -- -advice?- - -keep playing, have fun, try out as many different things as possible, drum along with the radio, the tv, mther nature, whatever - -just play the drum!!!- -have fun!!!

thanks for your advise. you are so right! As more as I play as better I get. Is it not with anything in our life?????????? I am so glad that I was introduced to the drum, it opened a whole new world for me. Cheers, Jutta
