* speechless *

at the same time, I feel bad for the guy... it looks like the clip comes from "Expert Village," too. Ah well.

Friggin' Expert Village... If there were any kind of editorial board there, that could be a really awesome idea. 99% of the time though it is really just "I have a video camera!" village.

Michi, there's a lot you could learn from him:

-Both types of drumming: syncopatic AND solo beats
-How to count properly: one, two, one, two-hoo
-How to tune your drums so that they don't make any sound
-Mental focus: think music, think drums
-How to play exciting rolls
etc...

wow i didn't know that there were two kinds of beats - syncopatic and solo. how enlightening :clap:

reminds me of the scene in blues brothers during their first gig when they ask what kind of music they play at the bar. 'both. we play both country and western'. ;)

I know the line is funny, but there used to be a fairly clear separation between what was played at the Grand Ole Opry and what singing cowboys like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers did... y'know, they didn't sing cowboy songs back East until those fellas (and others like them) started appearing in the movies.

the genre's called C&W for a reason. :)

The Carter Family (from Virginia) -

Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers -

sure, but it's funny on another level too: as if that's the only 2 styles of music in existence. :)
