San Francisco vs Santa Cruz

Hi y'all,

My beautiful wife and I are coming across the pond to the good ol' US of A in late August, and I have a dilemma that a local SF'an might be able to assist with. We only have one day in SF, and while there is lots to see and do there, I wouldn't mind going down to Santa Cruz to Drumskull. That would effectively be a day trip, therefore we would miss out on all the fun and wonderfulness (apparently) of the Bay City.

Any locals interested in doing the trip down to DSD in a half day, so we can get the best of both worlds? Would pay for petrol, lunch, etc......

We get in on a sunday arvo, and leave for a tour on Tuesday at sparrow's, so just feeling out our options.

I will be in a very similar situation this coming March staying in a Hotel San Francisco. I am interested in hearing what you ended up doing before my trip to San Francisco. Hopefully I will be able to fit in a San Francisco Tour
