Need a case for my newly acquired djembe

Postby AJdjembe » Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:46 am

Hey all,

Am a newbie to the world of the djembe. Recently picked up a 10 inch djembe. Need to pick up a case for it so I can carry it around when I'm on the move as well as store it safely when it's not being used.

Additionally, if anybody can give me some "how to keep your djembe in tip-top condition" tips it would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing what you advise.

Cheers..

I don;t know what Bombay has in terms of Djmebe shops but some companies like Meinl, Toca etc make padded bags for a 10" djembe , also you can certainly get a cloth one with some padding from a west African shop.

If you are wanting to persue west african music 10" will be a little small size for an adult.

Whats the djembe scene in Bombay like ? Is it a drum circle ?
If you want to see me kick some butt, just tell me about all the things you think I won't be able to do
