Hi Anna and welcome to the forum, I'm happy you found this site, it will give you some important information.
As we get deeper "into" the djembe, we find that we will accept many things to go and study with a true master; we tend not to care so much if he is by a beach or in a crowded capital city or what month their camp happens to be in. When you look for a djembe teacher from Africa, try to
first find one who comes from the ethnic group who created it. You will get much more information from someone who was born into it.
I have not yet heard of a master teacher offering anything for as long 6 weeks but, there are a few good teachers in West Africa who have camps for 3 or 4 weeks. For example, check out Famoudou Konate at
http://www.famoudoukonate.com/english/workshops.htmyou can register for his camp in Conakry, Guinea, and also he takes djembe students to his home village. Here is the link to register.
