discography

parallel to the discussion on creating a bibliography and more cd/dvd reviews on this site, i was wondering if anyone was interested in contributing towards our having a complete discography of cds and dvds of djembe music and culture.

possible contributions could include:

• reviewing your favourite djembe cds or dvds that are not yet covered in the media section
• adding details of new cds and dvds to the discography (author, title, year, label, country of production, catalogue number, track titles)
• scanning your covers
• finding links to the best and/or cheapest places to buy any of the discs or dvds

we could start with the discography on djembe.drumset.free.fr and then build that to include any missing discs, new discs, all documentaries and instructionals on djembe music/dance/culture and also to fill in any details or artwork that are missing from that discography.

with the rhythm of the month discussions, we should also have a list of resources for each rhythm and each entry can include a link to the entry in the discography or bibliography, which will in turn link to reviews and where to buy.

the final result can go in the media section. if you want to contribute anything, you can post it in the media section also, or if you want to contribute details to the final result and want some credit for your work, you could pm it to us.

i think people could just submit their little contributions by pm or in a thread dedicated to this and these would go to the project manager (possibly myself) who would update the post as necessary. that would be the simplest and most streamlined way.
