Do you like to dance?

my name is bubudi and i love to dance. i don't perform or teach dance, it's more something i do for fun and to enhance my understanding of west african rhythms. i'm lucky enough to pick up dance steps fairly easily in class, but unfortunately i forget them quickly if i don't practice, and i don't get much time to, due to work, family commitments and other interests like drumming, kickboxing and swimming. i actually got into west african dance not long after i started drumming. back then we had a crazy teacher that lost the majority of her regular students due to her huge ego getting in the way. it was years before i hooked up with dance classes again, and now we have some really great dance teachers here. i still think west africa has some of the best dance moves of anywhere in the world, hands down.

Well that subjective and debatable. I would say one of the most vibrant, energised and fast movements for sure.

I used to be a good party dancer not dabble, not perform, somewhere in between. For WA dance, I would like to learn but for now, whenever I am in a class I am drumming. Maybe later, but that a good idea to indulge in the dance. It will be easy to mark the dancers when you have "been there, done that" . Thanks for the post.
