Great site. Seems like their djembes are Ivory Coast djembes.

I got one of their drums and it's most definitely nothing like my IC djembe. BG is a very good company to deal with, great value, fantastic drums. I got a Noumou one with thin goat on it and it is cranked and singing like it owns the place - well nice indeedy!

many burkina djembes tend to have some resemblance to ivory coast djembes, particularly in the minimalistic decorative carving. some people say that the 'typical' burkina shape these days is a kind of hybrid between the ivory coast and mali shapes. as far as i know, all baragnouma's instruments are made in burkina faso.

Id say there is a bit of crossover.. And the carvers probably move around.. A fair few carvers in bobo go across the border to get wood as its not so far.. I would say the pics from BG are fairly typical of drums from Burkina... Seen carvers with a large range of shapes..
