Very Nice Mali Drums For Sale

Postby sfdjembeman » Thu Jan 28, 2010 10:45 pm

Hello All,

I have a shipment of drums from Mali. The drums are in three price levels and they are made of Lenke, Gueni and Dugura. My website is being rewritten and I don't have many photos up or a shopping cart yet. The drums are shipped by air freight into SFO from Bamako.

Sizes of the djembes:
1) Playing surface diameter from 12.75 inches to 13.75 inches
2) Height between 24 to 24.5 inches.

In the past I sold mainly WULA drums and I now import these djembes directly from Mali. I also import djembes from Senegal and Ivory Coast. I am meticulous about the quality of the drums I sell. Some are skin folded over, some are three ring and the others are regular two ring.

I am trying to sell high quality drums at affordable prices that won't cost an arm and a leg, therefore the drums are priced very low.

1) Full stem decorations and skin folded over rings. $420
2) Full stem decoration and three top ring system $420

3) Partial stem decoration skin folded over. $400
4) Partial stem decoration three top rings. $400
5) Partial stem decorations two top rings $380 - sold out.

I also have some plain djembes from the same workshop. They use good quality 'African rope' and
not imported rope and standard two top rings. The shells have no decorations and the wood is also Lenke, Gueni or Dugora with some blond area - they sell for $330.

Below are photos of some of the drums. I'll also have more djembes from Senegal and peg tuned Kora and Donso Ngoni. Prices we be very competitive.

Cheers,
Arnold

Hey djembeman, how have you been?

The second one looks like a nice piece. The third one looks like it could use some oil.

Hey bops I'm good, haven't checked in for some time and it's good to see the community thriving. I was in MN last week and got back with a bad cold, it was in the 20s and they told me it was a heat wave :) I hope WI weather is treating you well.

Thanks for the kind words about the djembes. Actually I got them in a few weeks ago, all made for me and all of them have a few coats of shea butter and look and feel really nice. The camera and pics and are not great but I'm working on it.
