Mali 14" Djembe, Gouni/Hare/Khadi wood, goat skin-over

Real west African hand-made Mali Djembe (NOT a cheap Indonesian made djembe, like the ones you find in typical guitar stores (ie: Meinl, Remo, Toca, etc)). Bought from MotherLand Music in LA in the Fall 2009, I will include receipt. I only practiced with it a couple times the first month I bought this, so it's been hardly played and It just ended up sitting in my garage, unplayed. Sounds very nice and full of soul

Djembe hat/cover included.

Made from Gouni wood (aka Khadi, Hare) in Mali. Goat, skin-over.

Diameter from outside of ring to outside of ring: 15.3"
Diameter of outside of wood where skin wraps around wood: a little under 13.8"
Height: A little under 24.25"

very nice piece. good luck selling it to a good home. i think the price might be just a tad high, but if you get some sound samples up of someone who's a good djembe player playing this drum, you might have a good chance at getting the price you're after.

Thanks for the advice...I have no mics though to record, I have a camera, so maybe that'll work.

Edit: For any serious buyers, I can take a video/audio with my iPhone and send it to you. My slaps & tone is pretty beginner though, but one should be able to hear it well.

It sounds beautiful. Went over 50+ djembes in the store and spent a whole day with the store owner and this one definitely was one of the cleanest looking and sounded like one of the best in the store. I picked the top 10 from the store and put them to the side, then I filtered them down to this one
